Consulting making a difference

Since 1994, WellQuest has been helping organizations make a difference in their communities through evidence-informed planning and evaluation.

Greetings! I’m Tammy Horne,
Principal of WellQuest Consulting Ltd.

Since 1994, WellQuest has been helping organizations make a difference in their communities through evidence-informed planning and evaluation.

WellQuest works with organizations that promote community health across multiple sectors  keeping equity, diversity, and inclusion top of mind.

I am a lifelong earner with a passion for building on people’s strengths to support learning and growth — through professional development and coaching.

I “work alongside” people to build on their existing strengths as they create positive change in organizations and communities.

Most important, I see consulting as a relationship to support learning.

My priority is to support people to make a difference in their organizations and broader communities.

About WellQuest Consulting Ltd.

A bit about my consulting journey…

In 1994, I launched WellQuest as a transition from the academic world to community-based services. I had long desired opportunities to combine the rigour I learned as an academic with the practical focus and lived experiences inherent in community work.

People in my networks soon reached out to explore services I offered – mostly for program evaluation, but also for evidence-informed planning and decision-making, strategic planning, applied research, and professional development. My practice has always been a balance of doing arms-length work to support people who want or require an “external eye”, and working alongside people to strengthen their own capacity.

In recent years, my practice has been shifting to more often working alongside others, as a “critical friend” committed to building on people’s strengths to enhance their own capacities and learning as much from them as they do from me. My priority is to support people to make a difference in their organizations and broader communities.

To further strengthen my own capacities, I completed a Certificate in Adult and Continuing Education in 2019. In 2020, I joined a wonderful community lifelong adult learners who focus on transformational coaching and leadership through the Art of Coaching.

I look forward to working with you in a mutual learning journey toward stronger organizations and communities.
